Stiletto

I've always loved high heels. I think as far as accessories go, they can make even the most masculine outfit look sexy and feminine. However, I cannot and have not ever been able to wear them.
What started out with my mother keeping me out of them,("Only fast girls wear their mother's heels.High heels are for grown women.")ended with me going into adulthood only knowing how to rock flats and the occasional wedge. I often dated short men or men my height who hated when I wore heels. HATED IT.

Fast forward to now. I'm now with a man(still close in height to me) that actually likes his woman in heels. With a close friends wedding fast approaching(March 12th), I'm determined to not only learn how to walk in heels(without wobbling or falling),but I'm also excited to learn how to look good doing it. Wish me luck ladies. My "practice heels" put me just at 6 feet.

Any heel wearing suggestions are more than welcome.

Breakfast for Dinner

Happy belated Valentine's Day!.

I associate IHOP with many favorite memories. After a lot of my theatre shows back in high school, it would a lot of times be the only thing open after midnight. Not to mention, when I was 16, IHOP short stacks were one of the few things I could afford within my McDonald's paycheck budget. Eric spent most of the weekend trying to WOW me with some over the top Valentine's Day surprise. While I appreciate any effort put forth to make me feel special, I found myself constantly reiterating that it wasn't necessary. Yesterday evening, instead of spending our life savings at some fancy dancy restaurant "just because" it was Valentines Day, we dined like kings(and queen) at ihop. For those that were wondering, Ihop also offers tons of low calorie selections for those others girls out there who are trying to bid their muffin tops farewell.

I'm the biggest loser

So the past few months I've been stalking this woman named Kaci over at The Fit Craving. She was once around my size and height and managed to lose 90lbs and looks amazing. My friend Kris pointed me to her site to provide some added guidance to my weight stuggles.

My job has been doing it's own version of the biggest loser and I'm currently at -12lbs and we are only a month in. While there is one girl who is ahead of me in the contest, I've got more pounds to lose which =advantage!

I'll keep you guys tuned in on my progress. The final weigh in will be at the end of March!

Until then I hope everyone has a great weekend. If you're in Houston, come and see me MC along with Full Effect at Gritsy!

Happy Groundhog Day

Today has been very insane at work ,so I figured I'd share a few things that made me smile in the last few weeks:

Like dumb celebrity tattoos:

                                                                                T-Pain

Gucci Mane (I love the lightening bolts coming out of the Ice Cream Cone)
Kissing puppies

How's your week going so far? The weather in Houston was at 19 degrees Fahrenheit when I got out of the car this morning and I'm hating it tremendously. My coworker and I have a trip to Vegas planned out for this weekend and I'm just hoping the weather stays on our side. Houston is supposed to get 1 to 3 inches of snow here between tomorrow in Friday. This is just a little bit ridiculous to me because I would plan a vacation the one weekend we have snow.
