I found out today that due to all the NCAA Final Four action going on in Houston this week, Discovery Green park will be having a FREE concert series Friday-Sunday featuring Sublime, Kings of Leon, and Kenny Chesney.

While I'm not the biggest Chesney fan, I grew up listening to Sublime, and love Kings of Leon. This recent concert announcement will make for a fantastic date for Eric and I because  the weekend weather is predicted to be amazing. I'll try to post photos of all the fun!

Spring in Tejas

I love Spring. I particularly love Spring in Texas. While a lot of people complain about Texas having a lack of all 4 seasons, I don't mind it so much. I hate cold weather, and corduroy has never flattered these hips anyway.

My favorite part about Spring in Texas is the wild flowers, specifically the bluebonnets. I don't know what it is about them, but they are the ideal image of true southern beauty me.

This week is going to be a great one. Houston is poised to see no temperature over 85 and the humidity is supposed to be absent(perfect). I'm going to cherish these last few months(weeks) of Texas Spring because I know that as soon as it goes away, hurricane and mosquito summer will follow.

Goodbye Liz

It's been an up and down week. I spent the majority of it inside, sick with allergies. I cannot express how terrible this was because the Houston weather this past week has been spectacular.


I wanted to send a little note of goodbye to the beauty that was Elizabeth Taylor. May she rest in peace.

I only hope to look half as good as this one day.This weekend I'll be traveling to Los Angeles to visit and record with some new and old friends. What are you up to this weekend?

weight loss update

I started this biggest loser competition at work back in January, and i'm pleased to say that my team is still in the lead. I'm down 13 lbs and 3 dress sizes.If we can continue our progress up until 3/31, each person on our team will receive somewhere around $500 each. Not a bad motivation to keep me away from the pizza and burgers.

Today, I plan on doing a 6 mile walk/run. No pain, no gain.

Japan

The past week has been yet another awful one due to mother nature. I pray for everyonein Japan,the surrounding areas, and anyone effected by this. I hope that the Earth allows us to go a few more centuries before the next earthquake shakes us up.
